About TexasLobby.org
The searchable directory of Texas lobbyists
Our Mission
TexasLobby.org exists to democratize access to government relations in Texas. We believe every business—regardless of size or connections—should be able to find qualified representation at the Texas Legislature.
By transforming public registration data into a searchable, filterable directory, we help businesses find lobbyists and help lobbyists get discovered by the clients who need them.
The Problem We Solve
Texas has over 4,183 registered lobbyists and more than 16,502 lobbying relationships. The Texas Ethics Commission maintains this data as required by law—but their interface wasn't designed for discovery.
Before TexasLobby.org, finding a lobbyist meant calling around, asking for referrals, or scrolling through pages of unfiltered names. There was no way to search by industry expertise, compare client portfolios, or filter by location.
We built the search layer that should have existed. Now businesses can find lobbyists by what matters: who they've represented, what industries they know, and where they operate.
Our Story
TexasLobby.org was founded in 2024 by Enri Zhulati, a Texas-based entrepreneur who saw a gap between public data and public access.
The idea came from a simple observation: the Texas Ethics Commission publishes detailed lobbyist registration data, but using it requires knowing exactly who you're looking for. For a business owner trying to find representation, that's not helpful.
We built TexasLobby.org to bridge that gap—taking public records and making them genuinely useful. The directory launched with basic search, then expanded to include AI-powered matching, bill tracking, and detailed compensation data from TEC filings.
By the Numbers
Our Data
All lobbyist information on TexasLobby.org comes from the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC). Texas law requires lobbyists to register with the TEC and file regular reports disclosing their clients and compensation.
We sync this data regularly to keep profiles current. Compensation figures come from annual TEC filings, where lobbyists report compensation ranges for each client relationship. Registration status is verified against the official TEC registry.
