Public Records Data & Removal Requests

1. Overview

TexasLobby.org is operated by Ronin Holdings LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company. We publish a directory of individuals who are registered as lobbyists with the Texas Ethics Commission ("TEC"), along with related legislative and client information drawn from Texas public records.

This page explains where the information in an unclaimed profile comes from, what that information does and does not mean, and how you can correct inaccurate information or request removal of a profile. If you are the subject of a profile on our platform, this page tells you exactly what to do.

2. Where This Information Comes From

The profiles in our directory are compiled from records that are, by law, public and available to any member of the public. Our primary sources are:

  • Texas Ethics Commission (TEC): Lobbyist registration filings, including registrant names, registration status, client (concern) lists, and compensation ranges reported to the TEC under Chapter 305 of the Texas Government Code.
  • Texas Legislature: Bill information, legislative session data, and related public records.

We aggregate, organize, and present this public information to make it easier to search and understand. We do not create the underlying registration data, and we do not control the records maintained by the TEC or the Texas Legislature. If a lobbyist has publicly available professional information (such as a firm name or a professional website), we may present it alongside the public-records data to give context.

3. What a Profile Does — and Does Not — Mean

Many profiles on TexasLobby.org are "unclaimed," meaning the individual has not created an account, verified their identity, or edited the profile. An unclaimed profile is generated from public records only.

3.1 Inclusion Is Not Affiliation

The presence of a profile on our platform does not mean the individual is a customer, subscriber, member, or partner of TexasLobby.org, and does not mean the individual has any relationship or affiliation with Ronin Holdings LLC. Profiles are included solely because the individual appears in Texas public lobbyist-registration records.

3.2 Inclusion Is Not Endorsement

We do not endorse, recommend, rank on merit, vouch for, or certify any individual listed in the directory. Nothing on a profile should be read as a statement by us about a person's competence, character, or quality of services. The directory is an informational index of public records, not a rating or recommendation service.

3.3 "Featured" and "Premium" Badges

Some profiles display a "Featured" or "Premium" badge. These badges indicate paid visibility placement only. A badge on an unclaimed profile reflects an editorial placement decision and does not indicate that the individual has purchased a subscription, endorsed our platform, or verified the profile. Where a badge appears on a profile the individual has not claimed, it is not a representation that the individual is a paying customer.

3.4 Accuracy

We aim to reflect public records accurately, but we do not warrant that any profile is complete, current, or error-free. Registration records change over time, and public data may contain errors originating from the source. If you believe a profile contains inaccurate information, please use the correction process in Section 5.

4. Profile Photos

Profiles that do not include a photo display a neutral initials-based avatar. Where a photo appears on a profile that the individual has not claimed, it may have been sourced from a publicly available professional profile to help visitors identify the correct person.

If you are the subject of a profile and you do not want your photo displayed, you may request its removal at any time using the process in Section 6. We will remove a photo from an unclaimed profile promptly on request, and you do not need to provide any reason.

5. Correcting Inaccurate Information

If information on a profile is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete, you have two options:

5.1 Claim Your Profile

The fastest way to control the information on your profile is to claim it. Claiming lets you verify your identity, correct your bio, contact details, client information, and expertise, and manage your photo directly. To start, visit your profile page and select "Claim this profile," or contact us for help.

5.2 Request a Correction

If you prefer not to claim the profile, you can ask us to correct specific information. Contact us and include:

  • The name on the profile and a link to the profile page (if available)
  • The specific information you believe is inaccurate
  • What the correct information is, and, where possible, the public source that supports it
  • A way for us to confirm you are the subject of the profile or an authorized representative

Note that some information is drawn directly from Texas Ethics Commission filings. Where the source record itself is inaccurate, the authoritative correction is made through the TEC; we will update our copy to reflect corrected public records, but we cannot amend the official filing on your behalf.

6. Removal & Opt-Out Requests

You may request that we remove or suppress your unclaimed profile from public display on TexasLobby.org. You do not need to give a reason.

6.1 How to Submit a Request

Send a removal request through our contact page and include "Data Removal Request" in your message. To help us locate the right record and confirm your request, please provide:

  • The full name as it appears on the profile
  • A link to the profile page, if you have it
  • A statement that you are the subject of the profile or are authorized to act on their behalf
  • Whether you want the entire profile removed, or only specific elements (for example, a photo or contact detail)
  • A return email address so we can confirm completion

6.2 What We Will Do

  • Acknowledge your request within 5 business days of receipt.
  • Process valid removal requests for unclaimed profiles within 30 days. Most requests are completed sooner.
  • Remove the profile from public display and de-index it from our internal search. We may also submit removal requests to search engines, though the timing of third-party de-indexing is outside our control.
  • Where you ask only for partial removal (such as a photo), we will suppress that element while retaining the remaining public-records data unless you request full removal.

6.3 Limits on Removal

We honor removal requests for our own publication of the information. However, please understand:

  • We cannot remove information from the underlying Texas Ethics Commission or Texas Legislature records. Those are public records maintained by government agencies, and requests to change them must be directed to those agencies.
  • Removal from TexasLobby.org does not remove the same public information from other websites, search-engine caches, or archives we do not operate.
  • We may retain a minimal internal record of a removal request (such as the name and the fact that removal was requested) so that we can honor the request on an ongoing basis and avoid re-listing the profile from future data imports.

7. Your Texas Privacy Rights

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) may give you additional rights regarding personal data we process, including the right to confirm whether we process your data, to access it, to correct inaccuracies, to delete it, and to opt out of certain processing. This page describes our practical process for exercising the correction and deletion rights most relevant to public-records profiles.

You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or by contacting us again and marking your message "Appeal." We will inform you in writing of the outcome of any appeal, and, if the appeal is denied, how you may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint. 8. Reporting Defamation, Impersonation, or Other Concerns

If you believe a profile contains defamatory content, impersonates you, or infringes your rights, contact us with the details and mark your message "Content Concern." We take these reports seriously and will review them promptly. We may remove or suppress the content while we investigate.
