Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: July 30, 2026
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
TexasLobby.org, operated by Ronin Holdings LLC, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that everyone—including Texas business owners, lobbyists, and members of the public—should be able to find, evaluate, and connect with registered lobbyists regardless of ability.
We are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website, and we apply the relevant accessibility standards to the greatest extent we reasonably can. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project, and we treat it as a permanent part of how we design, build, and maintain the site.
2. Target Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is the benchmark we measure ourselves against. This is a target we are actively pursuing across the entire site; we describe our current progress and known gaps honestly in the sections below.
3. Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we have taken and continue to take the following measures:
3.1 Design and Development Practices
- Semantic HTML: We use meaningful, structured markup (headings, landmarks, lists, and native form controls) so assistive technologies can interpret and navigate content.
- Keyboard Accessibility: We work to ensure interactive elements—search, filters, menus, dialogs, and forms—can be operated with a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
- Text Alternatives: We aim to provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and initials-based avatars where profile photos are unavailable.
- Color and Contrast: We select text and interface colors with the goal of meeting WCAG AA contrast ratios, and we avoid relying on color alone to convey information.
- Responsive, Resizable Layouts: Our pages are designed to reflow and remain usable when text is enlarged and across a range of screen sizes and devices.
- Focus Visibility: We work to keep a visible focus indicator so keyboard users can track their position on the page.
3.2 Ongoing Review
- Incorporating accessibility considerations into our design and code-review process.
- Periodically evaluating pages using automated accessibility tooling and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks.
- Prioritizing and addressing accessibility issues as they are identified, including those reported to us by users.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of our website may not yet be fully accessible. We want to be transparent about the areas where we know improvement is still needed:
- Third-Party Content and Services: Some functionality relies on third-party providers (such as our payment checkout, analytics, and embedded external links to lobbyist websites and the Texas Legislature). We do not fully control the accessibility of content or interfaces served by those third parties.
- Data-Sourced Profiles: A large portion of our lobbyist and client records is compiled from public Texas Ethics Commission and Texas Legislature records. Formatting, completeness, and consistency of this source data can vary, which may affect how uniformly it is presented to assistive technologies.
- Complex Interactive Components: Some advanced features—such as filtered search, sortable directories, and interactive dialogs—are still being reviewed and refined to strengthen their accessibility.
- Documents and Images: Some images or user-supplied content may not yet include complete text alternatives.
We are working to reduce these limitations over time. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us—your feedback directly helps us prioritize fixes.
5. Feedback and Requesting Accommodations
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of TexasLobby.org. If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of our website, or if you need information, a feature, or a service provided in an alternative accessible format, please let us know.
When you contact us, it helps to include:
- The web address (URL) or name of the page where you encountered the issue.
- A description of the problem or the barrier you experienced.
- The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using, if known.
- How you would prefer us to respond or provide the information you need.
You can reach us through our contact page. Please include "Accessibility" in your message subject so we can route your request to the right person. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback and accommodation requests promptly and to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. If You Are Not Satisfied
We take accessibility concerns seriously and will make every reasonable effort to resolve any issue you raise. If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, please tell us so we can escalate the matter internally and continue working with you toward a resolution.
7. Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an evolving practice, and we are committed to continual improvement. As we add features and update content, we work to apply and maintain the accessibility standards described in this statement. We will update this page as our practices and the accessibility of our website evolve, and we will revise the "Last Updated" date above when we do.
