What This Bill Does
Modifies the composition of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association's board of directors by requiring three board members to reside in areas of Texas outside the first tier coastal counties. This change aims to ensure broader geographic representation on the board, potentially bringing perspectives from inland regions to the association's decision-making process. The new requirement will take effect on September 1, 2025, giving the association time to adjust its board membership accordingly.
