report furnished by a consumer reporting agency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 20.05, Business & Commerce Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
(a-1)  A consumer reporting agency may not furnish a consumer
report containing information related to an eviction suit brought
under Chapter 24, Property Code, in which the date of final
disposition of the suit predates the consumer report by more than
SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies only
to a consumer report furnished on or after the effective date of
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
