What This Bill Does

Repeals a previous provision in the Texas Education Code that allowed schools to exclude students from attending school during emergencies or epidemics if they did not have certain required immunizations. By removing this section, the legislation eliminates a potential legal mechanism for school districts to deny student attendance based on immunization status during public health emergencies, potentially ensuring more consistent access to education for all students.
