What This Bill Does

Clarifies that the original court that issued a divorce decree retains exclusive jurisdiction to divide any previously undivided marital property, even after the initial divorce proceedings have concluded. The legislation allows courts to revisit and resolve property division issues that were not fully addressed in the original divorce settlement. This change applies to both pending and future property division cases, providing a clear legal mechanism for spouses to seek resolution of outstanding property matters.
