Directs the University of Houston to conduct a comprehensive study on the health effects of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFAS) in collaboration with state environmental agencies. The study will examine PFAS contamination in food, water sources, and professional equipment, with a focus on potential public health impacts, and requires a detailed report to be submitted to the legislature by December 1, 2026. The research aims to provide critical insights into the potential risks of these chemicals, which are commonly found in consumer products and industrial settings.
