Modifies licensing requirements for legal permanent residents seeking law enforcement positions in Texas. It allows political subdivisions to hire legal permanent residents for licensed positions, provided they submit an affidavit affirming their intent to apply for U.S. citizenship within six months of becoming eligible. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement must issue licenses to legal permanent residents who meet standard requirements, with full implementation set for December 1, 2025.
