What This Bill Does

This Texas bill requires all public elementary and secondary schools to display a durable poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments in every classroom, with specific size and legibility requirements. Schools must either use public funds or accept privately donated posters that meet the specified standards, and the requirement will take effect in the 2025-2026 school year. The bill mandates that the Ten Commandments be displayed in a conspicuous place, with a poster at least 16 inches wide and 20 inches tall, containing the full text of the religious commandments.
