relating to the right of an individual unlawfully present in the
United States to commence a civil action.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subtitle A, Title 2, Civil Practice and Remedies
Code, is amended by adding Chapter 5A to read as follows:
CHAPTER 5A.  COMMENCEMENT OF ACTION
Sec. 5A.001.  ACTION BY UNLAWFULLY PRESENT INDIVIDUAL
PROHIBITED.  An individual who is unlawfully present in the United
States according to the terms of the federal Immigration and
Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. Section 1101 et seq.), interpreted
consistently with federal law, may not commence a civil action.
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
