relating to the carrying of weapons by staff in medical facilities. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 46.03, Penal Code, is amended by adding subsection (j) to read as follows: (j) It is an exception to subsections (a)(11) and (a)(12) if the actor is an employee of the nursing facility, mental hospital, or hospital where the possession occurred. SECTION 2. This Act take effect on September 1, 2025
