relating to a public school's cooperation with certain officers
engaged in immigration-related duties.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Chapter 1, Education Code, is amended by adding
Section 1.014 to read as follows:
Sec. 1.014.  COOPERATION WITH OFFICER ENGAGED IN
IMMIGRATION-RELATED DUTIES.  A school district or open-enrollment
(1)  grant a federal immigration officer or peace
officer engaged in immigration-related investigation or
enforcement duties access to a district or school campus without a
(2)  disclose in any manner to a federal immigration
officer or peace officer engaged in immigration-related
investigation or enforcement duties without a judicial warrant:
(A)  the education records of a student enrolled
in the district or school or other information related to the
student or the student's family or household; or
(B)  any information relating to a district or
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
