What This Bill Does

Requires local workforce development boards to give priority on child-care services waiting lists to children of child-care workers who are eligible for services. The child-care worker must continue working in the field for one year after their child receives priority placement, or the commission may review and potentially terminate their child-care services. The goal is to support child-care workers by helping them access child-care services more quickly and incentivizing their continued employment in the industry.
