What This Bill Does

Requires public hospitals to publish quarterly online reports detailing the number of financially and medically indigent patients they serve, along with the total amount of money spent on charity care. Each public hospital must post these reports within 30 days of each calendar quarter's end, providing transparency about healthcare services for low-income patients. The requirement will take effect on October 1, 2025, giving hospitals time to prepare their reporting systems.
