What This Bill Does

Limits the regulatory authority of political subdivisions over construction and renovation of structures owned by counties with populations of 1 million or more that are located within the boundaries of another political subdivision. This appears to narrow local government's ability to impose additional building regulations on such county-owned structures, potentially simplifying construction and renovation processes for these specific county-owned buildings. The law will take effect on September 1, 2025, giving local governments and county officials time to prepare for the new restrictions.
