What This Bill Does

Modifies the legal definition of a rural political subdivision under the Texas Water Assistance Program, potentially expanding eligibility for water-related infrastructure and support funding for smaller communities. The change could help rural areas access more resources for water system improvements, infrastructure maintenance, and water quality projects. By adjusting the definition, the bill aims to provide more targeted financial assistance to smaller, less populated political subdivisions in Texas.
