What This Bill Does
Restricts former county or municipal officers and employees from accepting employment with a company they previously negotiated contracts or procurement with for two years after the contract signing or termination. The restriction aims to prevent potential conflicts of interest and protect public integrity in government contracting. The governing body can grant individual waivers to this rule if a former employee submits an application, providing some flexibility in the employment restriction.
