What This Bill Does
Amends Texas lobbyist registration requirements, mandating that lobbyists disclose if they are currently or were previously registered as a foreign agent within the last 12 months. The legislation requires lobbyists to state whether they have engaged in activities at the state level that would require foreign agent registration if those activities had occurred at the federal level. The new disclosure rules will apply to lobbyist registrations filed on or after September 1, 2025.
