What This Bill Does

This Texas bill expands fishing license exemptions for certain residents, specifically those 70 years and older and veterans. The exemption applies to Texas residents who meet these age or military service criteria, allowing them to fish in public waters without purchasing a fishing license. The bill also maintains existing exemptions for individuals with mental illnesses or developmental disabilities who are fishing under supervised therapy or recreational conditions.
