relating to terms for members of the state executive committee of
the University Interscholastic League.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 33.083, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsections (e) and (f) to read as follows:
(e)  Members of the state executive committee of the
University Interscholastic League are appointed for staggered
three-year terms, with as near as possible to one-third of the
members' terms expiring June 30 of each year.
(f)  A person may not serve more than two terms on the state
executive committee of the University Interscholastic League.
SECTION 2.  As soon as practicable after the effective date
of this Act, the commissioner of education shall adopt any rules
necessary to implement the requirement of staggered three-year
terms imposed under Section 33.083(e), Education Code, as added by
this Act, for members of the state executive committee of the
University Interscholastic League.
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
