relating to the term of an easement granted by the Parks and Wildlife Commission to an electric cooperative for certain state BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 11.301, Parks and Wildlife Code, is amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: (d) An easement on state land managed by the department that is granted by the commission to an electric cooperative as defined by Section 161.002, Utilities Code, shall be in perpetuity. SECTION 2. Section 11.301(d), Parks and Wildlife Code, as added by this Act, applies only to an easement granted on or after the effective date of this Act. An easement granted before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect on the date the easement was granted, and the former law is continued in SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
