relating to certain improvements made and programs developed by the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 8865, Special District Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 8865.1025 to read as Sec. 8865.1025. IMPROVEMENTS FOR ROADS AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS AND INFRASTRUCTURE. (a) The district must enter into an agreement with a county to make improvements or develop programs or infrastructure under this section. The agreement must be approved by a majority of the board and renewed annually. (b) The district may use export fees authorized under (1) improve county roads as necessary for the district to inspect wells operated by the district; and (2) develop environmental programs and infrastructure related to groundwater in the district. SECTION 2. Section 8865.151(d), Special District Local Laws Code, is amended to read as follows: (d) Fees authorized by this section may be: (2) used to pay the cost of operating the district; and (3) used as provided by Section 8865.1025. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
