relating to removal of territory from certain emergency services
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 775.0235, Health and Safety Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
(a-1)  The board shall remove territory from a district as
provided by this section on request of a municipality if:
(1)  the territory is included in the corporate limits
(2)  the municipality has a population of more than
10,000 but less than 19,000; and
(3)  the territory is located in a county with a
population of more than 1 million and less than 1.5 million.
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
