relating to a highway toll exemption for public school buses. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 372, Transportation Code, is amended by adding Section 372.060 to read as follows: Sec. 372.060. PUBLIC SCHOOL BUSES. (a) In this section, "school bus" has the meaning assigned by Section 541.201. (b) A toll project entity may not require a school bus exempt from registration fees under Section 502.453 to pay a toll for use of a toll project when the bus is transporting students on a route to or from school or a school-related activity trip other than SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
