relating to the sale of park land owned by certain municipalities. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 253.001, Local Government Code, is amended by adding Subsection (m) to read as follows: (m) Subsection (b) does not apply to a conveyance of park land owned by a municipality that: (1) is located in a county that: (A) is adjacent to the Texas-Mexico border; (B) has a population of at least 800,000; and (C) does not include a city that has a population (2) is the largest municipality in a county described SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
