relating to the review and evaluation of advanced placement and
international baccalaureate courses offered in public schools in
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 28, Education Code, is
amended by adding Section 28.0025 to read as follows:
Sec. 28.0025.  REVIEW OF ADVANCED PLACEMENT AND
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE COURSES.  (a)  Not later than December
31, 2026, the State Board of Education shall:
(1)  review and evaluate each advanced placement and
international baccalaureate course offered by a school district or
open-enrollment charter school, including examination,
instructional, and training materials for the course, for
compliance with state law, including Section 28.0022; and
(2)  based upon the review described by Subdivision
(1), determine whether school districts and open-enrollment
charter schools may continue to offer each course.
(b)  This section expires September 1, 2027.
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
