relating to the duties of tenured faculty at public institutions of BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 51.942(a)(3), Education Code, is amended (3) "Neglect of duty" means continuing or repeated substantial neglect of professional responsibilities, including (A) engaging in classroom, laboratory, seminar, (B) pursuing research through study, investigation, discovery, and creation; and (C) attending to administrative tasks. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
