Bill Text
relating to the eligibility of certain individuals for the children with special health care needs program. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 35.0022(a), Health and Safety Code, is (a) In this chapter, "child with special health care needs" (1) is younger than 21 years of age and who has a chronic physical or developmental condition; or (2) has cystic fibrosis or sickle cell disease, regardless of the person's age. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
