relating to the applicability of certain financial provisions to campus or campus program charter schools. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 12.056, Education Code, is amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: (c) The following provisions apply to an entity to which a charter is granted to operate a campus or program under this subchapter in the same manner as if the entity were granted a charter for an open-enrollment charter school under Subchapter D and to the campus or program as if the campus or program were an open-enrollment charter school: (1) an audit under Section 12.1163; (2) requirements regarding related party transactions (3) a financial report under Section 12.1168; (4) a prohibition on accepting loans from or entering into contracts with certain management companies under Section (5) requirements related to contracts for management services under Section 12.125; and (6) a prohibition on contracts with certain management companies under Section 12.126. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
