BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 22.003, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
(a-1)  In addition to all other days of leave provided under
this section or by a school district, a school district employee  is
entitled to not less than two days of leave for compensation per
year for wellness. Days of leave taken under this subsection  may
not be accumulated or deducted from an employee's accumulated
personal leave. A school district shall adopt a policy regarding  an
employee's use of leave under this subsection, including procedures
for the processing and documentation of leave taken under this
subsection. A school district may not require documentation from an
employee for days of leave taken under this  subsection.
SECTION 2.  This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
