relating to the eligibility of certain engineering firms to participate in the construction of a reservoir. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 16.051, Water Code, is amended by adding Subsection (g-2) to read as follows: (g-2) An engineering firm may not participate in the construction of a reservoir at a site designated as a site of unique value for the construction of a reservoir in the state water plan described by this section if the firm was contracted with or (1) preparing a state water plan described by this (2) preparing a regional water plan described by (3) evaluating the feasibility of a project contained in a water plan described by Subdivision (1) or (2). SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
