relating to the area of operation of a municipal housing authority. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 392.014, Local Government Code, is Sec. 392.014. AREA OF OPERATION OF A MUNICIPAL HOUSING AUTHORITY. The area of operation of a municipal housing authority is limited to the territorial boundaries of the municipality for which the authority is created [and the area that is within five miles of the territorial boundaries of the municipality and is not within the territorial boundaries of another municipality]. SECTION 2. The changes in law made by this Act do not affect the validity or enforceability of a contract that was entered into by the board of a municipal housing authority before the effective SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
