relating to the authority of an appellate court to issue temporary
orders in connection with an interlocutory appeal.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 51.014, Civil Practice and Remedies
Code, is amended by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows:
(i)  Notwithstanding a stay of trial court proceedings under
this section, an appellate court may enlist the assistance of a
trial court in hearing evidence, making findings of fact, and
making recommendations relating to the appellate court's authority
to issue temporary orders necessary to preserve a party's rights
until disposition of an appeal.
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
