BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 12, Parks and Wildlife
Code, is amended by adding Section 12.029 to read as follows:
Sec. 12.029.  POSTMORTEM TESTING OF DEER FOR CHRONIC WASTING
DISEASE.  (a)  Notwithstanding any other law, postmortem testing of
deer for chronic wasting disease under this code or a rule adopted
under this code must be conducted by the Texas A&M Veterinary
(b)  The results of a test described by Subsection (a) must
be interpreted by at least two employees of the Texas A&M Veterinary
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
