relating to patient stay reports submitted by freestanding
emergency medical care facilities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subchapter D, Chapter 254, Health and Safety
Code, is amended by adding Section 254.1535 to read as follows:
Sec. 254.1535.  REQUIRED PATIENT STAY REPORT.  (a)  In
addition to any other information the executive commissioner
requires by rule, a facility shall submit to the Health and Human
Services Commission in the form and manner the commission requires
a report on each patient stay that exceeds 48 hours.
(b)  A facility is not required to submit to the Health and
Human Services Commission a report on a patient stay that is 48
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
