relating to the date of the primary election runoff. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 41.007, Election Code, is amended by amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (b-1) to read as (b) The runoff primary election date is the second [fourth] Tuesday in April [May] following the general primary election. (b-1) The runoff primary election date for an election for federal office is the fourth Tuesday in May following the general SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
