relating to the operation of school buses at certain railroad grade BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Sections 545.2535(c) and (d), Transportation Code, are amended to read as follows: (c) An operator is not required to stop at: (1) an abandoned railroad grade crossing that is marked with a sign reading "tracks out of service"; [or] (2) an industrial or spur line railroad grade crossing that is marked with a sign reading "exempt[.]"; or (3) a railroad grade crossing with active warning and control devices, including both a functioning gate and flashing (d) A sign under Subsection (c)(1) or (2) may be erected only by or with the consent of the appropriate state or local SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
