relating to a study conducted by the secretary of state regarding compliance with high school deputy registrar obligations. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 13.046, Election Code, is amended by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: (i) The secretary of state shall conduct an annual study on each high school deputy registrar's compliance with this section. In conducting the study, the secretary shall monitor high school student voter registration and compile data for each public and private high school. The secretary shall publish the results of the study on the secretary's Internet website. SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
