relating to prohibiting a fee for a parent-taught driver education BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Sec. 1001.112(f), Education Code, is amended to (f) The department may not charge a fee for: (1) the submission of proof of: (A) [(1)] completion of a course conducted under (B) [(2)] passage of an examination administered (2) an application for designation as a person eligible to provide parent-taught driver education; or (3) designation as a person eligible to provide parent-taught driver education. Section 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
