relating to the dissemination by the Department of Public Safety of criminal history record information to consumer reporting BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 411.0831 to read as follows: Sec. 411.0831. NOTICE REGARDING DISSEMINATION TO CONSUMER REPORTING AGENCY. The department shall publish on its Internet website, for each dissemination of criminal history record information to a consumer reporting agency, as defined by Section 20.01, Business & Commerce Code: (2) the agency's telephone number, mailing address, and, if available, e-mail address; and (3) the date of the dissemination. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
