relating to the applicability to open-enrollment charter schools of certain law regarding travel expenses. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 12.1058, Education Code, is amended by adding Subsection (n) to read as follows: (n) An open-enrollment charter school and an officer, employee, or member of the governing body of an open-enrollment charter school are subject to Section 660.093, Government Code, as though the school were a state agency and the officer, employee, or member were a state employee, regardless of whether state funds are used to pay or reimburse for the travel of the officer, employee, or SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
