relating to the composition of districts 45 and 73 for the Texas BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. (a) State representative districts 45 and 73, as established by Chapter 1, Acts of the 87th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 2021, are modified by transferring blocks 1000, 1001, 1002, and 1003 of Hays County tract 010816 from district 45 to (b) In this section, "block" and "tract" have the meanings assigned by Section 1, Article III, Chapter 1, Acts of the 87th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 2021. SECTION 2. The changes to the districts described by Section 1 of this Act apply to the election of the members of the Texas House of Representatives beginning with the primary and general elections in 2026 for members of the 90th Legislature. This Act does not affect the membership or districts of the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature. SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the
