relating to the name of an appraisal district. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 6.01, Tax Code, is amended by adding Subsections (d), (e), and (f) to read as follows: (d) The name of an appraisal district must include the county code number assigned by the comptroller to the county in which the appraisal district is established. Except as provided by Subsection (e), the name of each appraisal district must be in the "Appraisal District #(county code number)." (e) The name of a consolidated appraisal district that operates by interlocal contract under Section 6.02(b) must include the county code number assigned by the comptroller to each county in which an appraisal district that is a party to the contract is established and must be in the following form: "Appraisal District #(county code number) and #(county code (f) The name of an appraisal district may not include the SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
