relating to the approval of subdivision plans and plats by a BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 212.009(a), Local Government Code, is (a) The municipal authority responsible for approving plats shall approve, approve with conditions, or disapprove a plat, all applicable submittal documents, including construction drawings, traffic impact analysis, drainage reports, and all other required documents, permits, or approvals to obtain a final plat within 30 days after the date the plat is filed. A plat is approved by the municipal authority unless it is disapproved within that period and in accordance with Section 212.0091. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
