relating to the authority of a school district to contract to operate certain district campuses. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 11.174, Education Code, is amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: (a-1) A school district may not enter into a contract under Subsection (a) for the operation of a district campus located in the territory of another school district unless authorized by a majority vote of the board of trustees of both districts. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
