relating to the appointment of election officers to serve during BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 31, Election Code, is amended by adding Section 83.0301 to read as follows: Sec. 83.0301. APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER. A person may not be appointed as a deputy early voting clerk under this subchapter for a primary election or a general election for state SECTION 2. Section 85.0091(b), Election Code, is repealed. SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to an election ordered on or after the effective date of this Act. SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
