relating to the spacing and density requirements applicable to BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 85, Natural Resources Code, is amended by adding Section 85.0555 to read as follows: Sec. 85.0555. DENSITY AND SPACING OF CERTAIN WELLS AFFECTING RANCHING. The commission by rule shall adopt minimum distance requirements or other standards for oil and gas wells in areas where proration units have not been established to provide for a standard development pattern of not more than one well for each 640 acres of land on which an active ranching operation is SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
