relating to the use of a load management program to meet an electric utility's energy efficiency goal. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 39.905, Utilities Code, is amended by adding Subsection (j-1) to read as follows: (j-1) An electric utility may not use energy savings achieved through a load management program, including a load management standard offer program described by Subsection (a)(6), to achieve the utility's energy efficiency goal under this section. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
