BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 382, Health and Safety
Code, is amended by adding Section 382.0162 to read as follows:
Sec. 382.0162.  REEVALUATION OF STATE AMBIENT AIR QUALITY
STANDARD FOR BENZENE.  If monitoring or modeling data indicates an
area is exceeding or likely exceeding a national or state ambient
air quality standard for benzene, the commission shall, as soon as
practicable, reevaluate the state ambient air quality standard for
benzene and update relevant exposure guidelines.
SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
